Lid fit checks should use the finished collar arrangement, including any parts that project above the sides. Ask about the lid dimensions and battens before treating an accessory as interchangeable between packages.

What to check
- Measure the intended enclosure

- Confirm the lid's locating arrangement
A practical example
A lid may match the nominal footprint while a projecting component prevents it sitting correctly. The packed goods profile belongs in the accessory brief as well as the collar brief.
